Connecting Data Sources

Glarify combines data from multiple Google services to give you a complete picture of your SEO performance. This guide covers all methods to connect and manage your data sources.

Connection Methods

The fastest way to connect all your properties at once:

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations
  2. Click "Sync Properties from Google"
  3. Select your Google account (must have GSC/GA4 access)
  4. Choose which properties to import
  5. Click "Connect Selected"

Tip: This method auto-discovers all properties your Google account can access.

Method 2: Manual Property Addition

For adding specific properties one at a time:

  1. Go to Settings → Data Sources
  2. Click "Add Data Source"
  3. Enter the property URI (e.g., sc-domain:example.com)
  4. Select the property type (GSC or GA4)
  5. Verify connection and save

Method 3: Subdomain Grouping

Automatically group related properties:

  1. Enable "Subdomain Grouping" in Settings
  2. Properties like blog.example.com group under example.com
  3. View aggregated metrics across all subdomains
  4. Drill down into individual subdomain performance

Verification Requirements

Your Google account needs at least Restricted User access to the GSC property. Full verification is done through Google Search Console.

Finding Your GA4 Property

  1. Open Google Analytics
  2. Go to Admin → Property Settings
  3. Copy the Property ID (format: 123456789)

Required Permissions

  • Minimum: Viewer role
  • Recommended: Editor for full features

Connecting Google Business Profile

For local SEO tracking, connect your GBP listings:

  1. Go to Settings → Google Business Profile
  2. Click "Connect GBP Account"
  3. Select the locations you want to track
  4. Data syncs automatically every 24 hours

Property Management

Excluding Properties from Aggregation

Don't want a property counted in totals?

  1. Click the property settings icon
  2. Enable "Exclude from Aggregation"
  3. Property data is hidden from combined metrics

Tagging Properties

Organize with custom tags:

  1. Click any property
  2. Add tags like "Client", "Personal", "E-commerce"
  3. Filter the All-in-One view by tags

Deleting a Data Source

  1. Go to Settings → Data Sources
  2. Find the property to remove
  3. Click the trash icon
  4. Confirm deletion

Warning: Deleting a data source removes all cached data. The data can be re-synced if you reconnect.
